Thank you for a wonderful reminder! Still practicing this being human thing. Amazing how it grows on us!

I’m right there with you. Or was in the times past, but now I’m not afraid to embarrass myself--sober. I can’t tell you how many times I should have been embarrassed, mortified even, when I was drinking but didn’t know it, and would only find out later or the next day by one of my kids or some so called friends who if they’d been real friends would not have let me do the stupid crap I did. But hey, those days are 27 plus years of long gone. And since I like myself on most days, I too am a cheer leader, an “OH Yea! You got this!” And call people “dear” or “hon” and I even sing out loud to the oldies they play in my local supermarket. Why do we have to get to be this years elder to get a case of the eff-its! Let us check our halo’s at the door--before we leave the house--and just be ourselves. We now know and understand the cliche’ about life being too short--so let’s go ahead and join the cheerleading squad.
